Outreach

At the heart of our church is a commitment to caring for our neighbors and building a stronger, more compassionate community. We believe that faith is lived out through service, generosity, and meaningful connection with those around us. Through partnerships with local organizations and outreach programs that support individuals and families in need, we strive to make a positive impact beyond our walls.

True outreach doesn’t begin with charity, it begins with shared humanity.

Organizations for 2026:

January: Friends of the KAW

Friends of the Kaw (FOK) serves the Kansas River, known locally as the Kaw. The Kansas River is the largest prairie-based river system in the world. The river originates at the junction of the Smoky Hill and Republican Rivers and runs 173 miles to meet the Missouri River at Kaw Point in Kansas City, Kansas. The Kansas River is also a drinking water source for over 950,000 Kansans.

February: First Act KC

First Act Theatre Arts inspires excellence, fosters character and builds community through theatrical arts training, performance, and fellowship in a Christian faith-based environment.

March: Decarcerate KC

Decarcerate KC aims to raise awareness, build power, and create change around issues of incarceration and policing in Kansas City. We are a multiracial, multigenerational organization that centers those impacted by incarceration and policing in order to end the reliance on incarceration and policing, and build a safer Kansas City for all.

April: Prairie Sky Counseling Center

Just as the prairie offers space to breathe, grow, and endure life’s changing seasons, Prairie Sky provides a place for healing, reflection, and renewal. We offer whole-person mental health care that honors your story and supports your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. With warmth, expertise, and deep respect, we walk alongside you—wherever you are on your journey—as you navigate life’s challenges and open to new possibilities.

May: Kansas Trailblazers Special Olympics

Every day, Special Olympics events are taking place around the globe transforming the lives of millions of individuals with intellectual disabilities both on and off the playing field.
